Lora Ann Presnell

Lora Ann Harmon Presnell, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the NHC Healthcare of Johnson City. Mrs. Presnell was born in Peoria, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Jacob M. and Jane Vines Harmon. She was a homemaker and a member of Keystone Free Will Baptist Church and attended Berea Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Presnell was preceded in death by her husband, Warren L. Presnell, her step mother, Pearl Brown Harmon, three brothers, Luther Harmon, John Harmon and Robert Harmon, and one sister, Carrie Mast. Mrs. Presnell is survived by one son, Raymond Presnell and wife Claire, of Johnson City, TN; three daughters, Louise Jackson and husband Jerry, of Mountain City, TN, Judy Greene and husband Edward, of Johnson City, TN and Sue Hollis and husband Harold, of Calhoun, GA; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Harmon, of Lenoir, NC; seven half brothers, Roy Harmon, of Johnson City, TN, Willard Harmon, of Boone, NC, Ira Harmon and wife Francis, of Lenoir, NC, Clint Harmon and wife Ella Mae, of Lenoir, NC, Lewis Harmon, of Beech Creek, NC, Clyde Harmon and wife Virginia, of Lenoir, NC, and Ronda Harmon and wife Roetta, of Boone, NC; three half sisters, Mae Townsend and husband Albert, of Lenoir, NC, Mary Presnell and husband Emery, of Boone, NC, and Pansy Blevins and husband Wilson, of Beech Creek, NC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday evening, October 22, 2010 in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Bill Greer and Rev. Jerry Stout officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday morning, October 23, 2010 in the Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Presnells Grandsons. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:20 am Saturday morning. The family will also receive friends anytime at the home of Mrs. Presnells Son, Raymond Presnell, 1204 Huffine Road, Johnson City, TN., 37604. Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN., 423-282-1521, is in charge of arrangements.
