Louella Callahan

Louella Callahan, 83, of Indian Lake Estates, Florida died Saturday, May 17, 2008 in the Lake Wales (FL) Medical Center. Mrs. Callahan was born on March 28, 1925 in Nickelsville, Va. She was a daughter of the late William Robert and Goldie Lee Ward Stevens. She had retired to Indian Lake Estates twenty years ago from Virginia. Mrs. Callahan was an electronics inspector for Watkins-Johnson Company in Maryland. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Indian Lake Estates. Mrs. Callahan is preceded in death by: four sisters, Mary Ellen Stevens Glover, Anna Kate Stevens Workman, Virtha Stevens, and Ethel Stevens; three brothers, Robert Stevens, Paul Stevens, and Emmett Stevens; and her grandparents, Lena and Mac Ward. Survivors include: her husband of sixty-three years, Charlie G. Callahan of the home; two daughters, Brenda Callahan of Indian Lake Estates and Lenda Sue Peters of Potomac Falls, VA; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren also survive. The funeral service for Louella Callahan will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, May 24, 2008 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Alfred Cutshall will officiate. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 1 to 2 PM Saturday prior to the service.
