Louise H. Payne, 87, 3422 Greenwood Drive, died Friday, August 24, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Payne was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, TN. She was a daughter of the late William R. and Margaret Catherine Thompson Huff. Mrs. Payne was a homemaker, loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: five brothers, John, Edward, Robert, William, and James Huff, and two sisters, Hatti Mae Huff McCloud and Ruth Huff Payne. Survivors include: her husband, Chester M. Payne, of the home; one daughter, Judy P. Roller, and her husband Bobby of Gray: one son, Raymond C. Payne, and his wife Shirley of Johnson City; six grandchildren, Wesley D. Roller, Michael A. Roller, Mary E. Stoneman, Cindy H. Burnett, Christopher R. M. Payne, and Jamie J. Payne; six great-grandchildren, Casie M. Dalton, Jamey L. Bradley, Chancey Stoneman, Laney Stoneman, Kelsey M. Payne, and Emilee Payne; one sister, Mary H. Slagle; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Louise H. Payne will be conducted at 7:30 PM Saturday, August 25, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Harold McNabb will officiate. The committal service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at Morris-Baker at 1:30 PM on Sunday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will Bobby R. Huff, Dennis Payne, Gary Burnett, Eric Bradley, Jamie Payne, Christopher Payne, Michael Roller, and Wesley Roller. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker on Saturday from 6 to 7:30 PM prior to the service. The family would like to express their appreciation to JCMC Hospice and especially the caregivers of Mrs. Payne for the last year, Jamey Lee Bradley and April Fagen.
