Louise Miller Wine

August 19, 1926 — July 28, 2006

Louise Miller Wine, 79, 5641 Bobby Hicks Hwy, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Wine was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Raymond B. Miller and Evelyn Weeks Miller. Mrs. Wine was preceded in death by her husband, John I. Wine, one brother, Norman Miller and one sister, Lorraine Brumit. She was retired from Land O Sun Dairy and was a former employee of Watauga Regional Library. Mrs. Wine was a member of Hales Chapel Christian Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a long time member of the Boones Creek Christian Church Quilters. Survivors include two sons, Stephen M. Wine and his wife Cindy, Bruce M. Wine and his wife Janice, all of Gray; one daughter, Barbara Jones and her husband, Randall, Wheatland, WY; one brother, Dawson Miller and his wife, Dean, Jonesborough; sister-in-law, Wyona Miller, Jonesborough; four grandchildren, Kim Benson, Amy Jones, Staff Sergeant Christopher Wine and Cody Wine; two great grandsons, Jonathon Benson and Ethan Wine; great granddaughter, Kyndel Wine and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Wine will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Hales Chapel Christian Church. Jim D. Saunders, Minister, will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 31, 2006 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends ate asked to assemble at the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Alan Miller, Louis Miller, Todd Miller David Wine, George Wine, Staff Sergeant Christopher Wine, Cody Wine and Ben Bowman. Members of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until service time Sunday at the church. The family expresses a special thanks to Dr. Ray Lamb and the staff of McLeod Cancer and Blood Center, caregivers, Irene Stills, Linda Ward, Louise Kersey and Kathy Fletcher, special family friend, Delta Buckingham and the Medical Center Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hales Chapel Christian Church, Building and Grounds Fund, 280 Hales Chapel Road, Gray, TN 37615.
