Louise P. Smith

Mrs. Louise Smith, 82, 271 Huffman Hill Road, Piney Flats passed away Tuesday July 13, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Piney Flats. She was the daughter of the late Ernest 'Jack'? Pierce and Pearl Holloway Pierce. In addition to her parents one brother, Willie 'Bill'? D. Pierce also preceded her in death. Mrs. Smith worked for Levi Straus Company and was also a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the Lick Creek Christian Church. Mrs. Smith was a wonderful wife, loving mother and a devoted Christian lady. Survivors include: her loving husband of sixty-two years, Emerson Smith of the home; one daughter, Barbara J. Williams and her husband, Jim of Elizabethton; one stepdaughter, Rita Bahr of Beckley, West Virginia; two sons, Ray Alan Smith and his wife Pam of Gray and Donald E. Smith of Piney Flats; two sisters, Bonnie P. Crawford and Arlene P. Kent both of Piney Flats; seven grandchildren, Kelli, Kevin, Rhonda, Courtney, Paul, Rachel and Scott; ten great grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Louise Smith will be conducted at 8 PM Friday July 16, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Leon Dutka, Minister and Rocky Maines, Minister will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM Saturday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to the service.
