Lowell Rodney Talbert

Mr. Lowell 'Rodney'? Talbert, 61, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Talbert was a native of Paris, Tennessee and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late Lowell William Talbert and Martha Sutton Talbert. Mr. Talbert retired from the Johnson City Public Library after thirty-eight years of service, where he was loved by everybody. He enjoyed helping patrons find special books and helping the kids. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include: his wife of twelve years, Jane Talbert of the home; one brother, Thomas Dosser Talbert and his wife Teresa of Seymour, Tennessee; one nephew, Tyler Talbert of Seymour, Tennessee. The graveside service for Mr. Lowell 'Rodney'? Talbert will be conducted at 2:30 PM Thursday, May 6, 2010 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Kenneth Kyker will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 to 2 PM.
