Lucille M. Presnell

August 26, 1917 — July 17, 2007

Mrs. Lucille Burton Presnell, 89 of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2007 at Lakebridge Health Care Center. She was a native of Old Butler and had lived in Johnson City for many years. She was the daughter of the late Taylor and Ella Younce Burton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ottie Presnell in 1973; two sisters, Lois McElyea in 1983 and Ola Mae Smith in 1980; son-in-law, Charles Wilcox in 2001 and grandson, Robert Arnett in 2003. Mrs. Presnell was of the Baptist faith. She was a housewife. Survivors include one daughter, Earleen Wilcox, Johnson City; one son Larry and his wife, Pat, Johnson City; one sister, Maude Farthing, Sugar Grove, NC; grandchildren, Debbie and Ken Thompson, Dale and Lori Presnell, Glenn and Tabitha Presnell and Judy Arnett; thirteen great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family expresses a special thanks to all employees of the 5400 floor at the Johnson City Medical Center; the staff of Lakebridge Health Care; Robbie Arnett for his loving care of 'Nonnie'? and her special friends, Alice Holly and Margie Tester. God Bless all of You. A funeral service for Mrs. Lucille Presnell will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday, July 19, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Pastor Donnie Humphrey will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 20, 2007 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Presnell, Glenn Presnell, Arnold Hooks, Roger Crain, Steve Arnett and Roger Sams. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
