Mabel Mary Babb

Mabel Brinkley Babb, 92, 109 W. Walnut Street, died Monday, September 15, 2008 at Lakebridge Health Care. Mrs. Babb was a native of Buladean, NC and had lived most of her in Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late William H. and Rosie Butler Brinkley. Her husband, Earl Babb; one daughter, Billie Rushing; one sister, Annie Brinkley and seven brothers, Charles, Walter, Gus, W.H., Dallas, S.G., and Carlos Brinkley preceded Mrs. Brinkley in death. She was a member of Tacoma Church of God. Survivors include one brother, James Brinkley, Orange Park, FL; one grandson, Billy Rushing and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mrs. Babb will be held at 10 am Friday, September 19, 2008 at Roselawn Memory Park. Reverend Donald Kelly will officiate. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
