Margaret Grace Jones

Margaret Grace Jones, 91, 120 Greyland Drive, Gray, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Jones was a native of Knox County and had lived in Gray for the past 25 years. She was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Birdwell and Ella Mae Roberts Birdwell and was also preceded in death by her husband, John T. Jones; and two sisters, Pearl Birdwell and Ruby DeWire. Mrs. Jones was a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Barron, Gray, and Patricia Bentley and her husband, James A., Cleveland, TN; five brothers, Robert Birdwell and his wife, Ann, Powell, TN, Eddie Birdwell and his wife, Marian, Nashville, Ernest Birdwell, Hendersonville, TN, Fred Birdwell and his wife, Betty, Blountville, TN, and Ralph Birdwell and his, wife, Mary, Kingsport; two sisters, Thelma Dunlap, Knoxville, and Joann Morelock, Kingsport; four grandchildren, Russell and wife, Mandy Bentley, Bryan Bentley, Michael and wife, Amanda Barron and Melanie Fillers; three great grandchildren, Brianna Bentley, Abigail Bentley, Thomas Fillers; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Jones will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, May 8, 2005, from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Arnold 'Bud' Pate will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
