Margaret Louise Haemsch

March 26, 1919 — December 28, 2009

Margaret Wall Haemsch, 90, of 6705 Ballard Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital, Chattanooga. She was a native of Coeburn, Virginia, daughter of the late James B. Wall, Sr. and Mary Michael Wall. Margaret was a banker and longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City. She was a member and officer of the Women of the Church at First Presbyterian Church for 70 years. Margaret had also been a member of the Dogwood Garden Club, the Pilot Club and the Monday Club Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard 'Dick'? Haemsch; two brothers, James B. and William L. Wall and a sister, Mabel ODell. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Richard 'Buddy'? and Charlotte Haemsch of Chattanooga; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Peter Henry of Columbia, Maryland; three grandchildren, Matthew Haemsch of Chattanooga, Kimberly Range Truesdale and her husband Scott of Arlington, VA and Allison Lyle Range of Arlington, VA; two nieces, Linda and Jim McCoy of Kingsport and Sylvia and Allen Stephens of Florida. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, under the direction of Rev. Louis Imsande. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. A committal service and burial will follow the funeral service in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the First Presbyterian Church, 105 S. Boone Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
