Margie Janice Watson

March 10, 1928 — January 2, 2011

Margie Snyder Campbell Watson, of Gray, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2011. She was born in Washington County, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Samuel Bruner Snyder and Carrie Fitzgerald Snyder. She was an LPN for Dr. Charles Underwood, at the Old Johnson City Memorial Hospital, Asbury Place, and retired as an LPN from Hillside Manor in Kingsport. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Watson and great granddaughter, Hannah Diane Della Fitzgerald. She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Helton and husband Edward, of Gray, TN, Connie Helton, of Gray, TN, Sheila Hodgens and husband Bob, of Gray, TN, and Paula Castleberry and husband Kenneth, of Bowling Green, KY; one son, Samuel M. Campbell and wife Leslie, of Gray, TN; eight grandchildren, Travis Helton and wife Brandi, Justin Helton and wife Stephanie, Kenneth Helton, Shannon Helton-Shortt and husband Gary, Kevin Helton and wife Brandy, Heather Fitzgerald and husband David, Melissa Campbell and Kari Campbell; seven great grandchildren, Taylor and Kade Helton, Rachel Lee Helton, David Paul Fitzgerald, III., Sean Cole, Chloe Cole, and Alorha McGriffin. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Gray United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the Gray United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Goddard and Rev. Jodie Ihfe officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Helton, Justin Helton, Kenneth Helton, Kevin Helton, David Fitzgerald, and Kenneth Castleberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Hodgens and Edward Helton. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:40 pm Thursday. The family would like to say a special thanks to caregiver Jo Hammitt, Dr. Rachel Monderer, and Johnson City Medical Center Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN., 38105.
