Maria Lloyd

Maria Marchig Lloyd, age 87, of 1603 E. Watauga Ave., Johnson City, Tennessee, died Sunday, November 27, 2005, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Savogna, Udine, Italy, having lived in Jonesborough from 1948 until 1953 when she moved to Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Andrea Marchig and Anna Vogrig Marchig. Mrs. Lloyd was retired, having worked at Steinway as a seamstress and then at Mayes Brothers Tool and Manufacturing on the assembly line. She was a member of East Watauga Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Lloyd was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Lloyd. She is survived by a sister, Erminnia Marchig of Savogna, Italy; two nephews, Guido Cromaz of Ottawa, Canada, and Don Sparks and his wife, Elizabeth, of Johnson City. Several other nieces and nephews survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Lloyd will be held at Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel at 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 29th. Rev. Mike Dickenson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday. Entombment will be at Monte Vista Mausoleum at 1:00 PM Wednesday. Family and friends will meet at the mausoleum chapel. Active pallbearers will be Frank Sparks, Rob Daniels, Carl Scalf, Dean Brown, Aaron Broyles and Eli Daniels.
