Marie Huff

Marie Huff, 86, 1201 East Eighth Ave., Johnson City, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Lifecare Center of Elizabethton. Mrs. Huff was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late George Prevette and Gertrude Weaver Prevette Thompson and was also preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Huff, Sr., one sister, Margie Alice Campbell and one grandson, John Edward Osborne. Mrs. Huff was a member of Downtown Christian Church. She is survived by four sons, George E. Huff, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, Arkansas, Michael Dalton Huff and his wife, Janet, Titusville, FL, Keith Allen Huff and his wife, Janice, Bluff City, Steven Anthony Huff and his wife, Billi, Leslie, Missouri; five daughters, Rachael Marie Jenkins and her husband, Charles, Bluff City, Brenda Elaine Bales, Dawn Bales and her husband Bill and Nora Andies all of Johnson City and Mari Alice Hamby and her husband, Joe, Unicoi; twenty-five grandchildren, Wayland Osborne, Lloyd Osborne, Lisa Osborne, Gail Underwood, Ward Bales, Richard Bales, Kim Papovich, Jack Huff, Michael Huff, Amanda Huff, Niki Bardo, Christi Bales, Michael Bales, Steven Daniel Edwards, Samantha Huff-Schlueter, Priscilla Bailey, Timothy Andies, Ben Andies, Seth Hamby, Jozetta Hamby, Michael Slyker, Stephen Latchaw, Jonathan Slyker, Bryan Slyker and Andrew Slyker; seventeen great grandchildren, Anthony Osborne, Devin Osborne, John Winston Osborne, Garret Osborne, Candice Johnson, Brittany Reed, Hannah Malone, Matthew Bales, Emma Bales, Alex Hankins, Melissa Hankins, Gabriele Huff, Christopher Bardo, Ashley Bardo, Hannah Huff, Abby Underwood and Jaydon Huff; four great great grandchildren, Camille Painter, Nathan Painter, Alizabeth Osborne and Christopher Osborne and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Huff will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday for the Morris-Baker Funeral South Chapel. Reverend Bobby Stout and Reverend Charles Biggs will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM Saturday until service time.
