Marie V. Davis

Marie V. Davis, 97, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at The Waters of Johnson City. Marie was born in Clarinda, Iowa to the late Foster and Eva Vines. Marie worked at Howard Brother?s Discount Store and in the Johnson City School System. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by: her husband, Lee Davis; five siblings, Clifford Vines, Gladys Scott, Marion Palmer, Marilyn Veach and Kenneth Vines; one child, Judy Cauble; and one grandchild, Coy Davis. Survivors include: three children, Eddie Davis and his wife Debbie, Bill Davis and his wife Patsy and Mickey Davis and his wife Monica; seven grandchildren, Tom Davis and his wife Sherri, Jeff Davis, Valerie Jolly and her husband Joey, Randall Davis, Patrice Curtis and her husband Phillip, Misty Daniel and Justin Runion; and numerous great grandchildren. The family would like to express how thankful they are to the staff at The Waters and Amedisys Hospice for the care they provided to Marie. The family of Marie Davis will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 2 PM with Chaplain Karl Gasser officiating. A committal service will be held following the funeral at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
