Marilyn Lee Lowe Hopson

November 8, 1940 — February 5, 2015

Mrs. Marilyn Lee Lowe Hopson, 74, of Johnson City, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, February 5, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Hopson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Helen Lowe. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City. In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert L. Hopson, also preceded her in death. Survivors include: two daughters, Sharon Grindstaff, Johnson City and Teresa Perry and her husband David of Johnson City; two brothers, Johnny Lowe and his wife Linda of Johnson City and Grant Lowe and his wife Carolyn of Gray; five grandchildren, John Payne and his wife Summer, Kaleb Perry, Nathaniel Perry, Noah Perry and Brooke Grindstaff; two great-grandchildren, Mia Elliot and Tyson Elliot; special boyfriend, Johnny Roark, Johnson City; two special friends, Peggy Phillips and Demple Hoss. The family of Mrs. Hopson would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice. The family of Mrs. Marilyn Lee Lowe Hopson will receive friends from 11 AM to 12:30 PM Monday, February 9, 2015, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The graveside committal service will follow at 1 PM in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pastor Mark Street will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
