Mary Alberta Buxrude

Mary Alberta Buxrude, 80, of 158 Tucker Lane, Johnson City died Thursday, November 13, 2008 in the NHC Healthcare. Mrs. Buxrude was a native of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Albert and Etta Benfield Campbell. She was retired from Leon-Fernback and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Buxrude was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Donald Buxrude in September 2000; a brother, Robert Campbell; and one sister, Helen Onks. Survivors include: one son, Michael and his wife Sue Widener of Johnson City; two sisters, Doris Usary of Piney Flats, and Lola Bryant of Gray; three grandchildren, Katie Holden serving with the FBI, Rev. Bill Widener, Pastor of Crosspoint Fellowship in Kilgore, TX and Lt. Scott Widener, U.S.Army in Iraq, one aunt, Oakie Brumit of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mary Alberta Buxrude will be conducted at 4 PM Sunday, November 16, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Everyone will meet at 10:30 AM Monday at Morris-Baker to go to the cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 2 to 4 PM Sunday afternoon prior to the service.
