Mary Ella Daniels

Mary E. Daniels, 85, 188 Dana Bacon Drive, Jonesborough, died Wednesday April 11, 2007 in the Indian Path Medical Center. Mrs. Daniels was a native of Washington County who had lived most of her life in Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Wesley Ellswick and Martha Alice Pilkington Elswick. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of forty years Frank J. Daniels in 1979. She retired from Watauga Medical Assoc. She was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include: three sons, Eugene Daniels and his wife Alma, of Jonesborough, Robert Daniels and his wife Sharon, of Johnson City and Frank Daniels and his wife Gloria, of Jonesborough; four grandchildren, Tony, Chad, Josh and Julie Daniels; four step grandchildren, Donald Jackson and his wife Leigh, Traci Jackson, Teresa Hubbard and her husband Jeff and Daniel Jackson; five step great grandchildren, Brenton Hubbard, Karrie Hubbard, Allison Hubbard, Isabella Jackson and Hailey Jackson. The funeral service for Mary E. Daniels will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, April 13, 2007 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Danny De Pew will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jim Earl, Jim Ford, Donald Jackson, John Murphy, Jeff Hubbard and Bill Sherrod. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to the service. The family would like to thank the nurses on the 4th floor at the Indian Path Medical Center and the staff at Life Care Center of Gray.
