Mary Ledford

Mrs. Mary Lee Gathings Ledford, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Four Oaks Health Care Center after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. A native of Wadesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Clinton and Emma Bryant Gathings. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Bob Bryant and two sisters, Annie Ruth Burr and Vera Mae Gathings. She is survived by the father of the children, Bobby Ledford; her son, Michael Ledford of Telford; daughter Rhonda Ledford of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Cody Michael Ledford, Allison Keister Cornett and husband Justin, Shane Daniel Ledford, Garrett Ledford who is actively serving in the U.S. Airforce, Dylan Simerly; two great grandchildren, Marlee and Trenton Cornett; two brothers, Buddy and Ralph Gathings; three sisters Louise Henson, Frances Tyler, and Peggy Butts; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Lori Ledford and Bernie Keister; and long time friends, Everetta and Kitty.
