Michael Edward Szyszko

Michael Edward Szyszko, 79, of 311 S. Main Street, Harlan, KY died Saturday, September 19, 2009 in the James H. Quillen, VAMC at Mountain Home. Mr. Szyszko was a native of Poland and had lived in Harlan for several years. He was a son of the late Michael and Adela Lubecka Szyszko. He was a former employee of Alcoa Aluminum, a Army veteran and of the Catholic faith. Mr. Szyszko was preceded in death by: his parents; one daughter, Keri Michelle Szyszko; one son, Michael Edward Szyszko; and one brother, Edward Szyszko. Survivors include: one brother, Joseph Szyszko of Pekin, IL; one sister Harriett Tybor of Chandler, AZ; one son, Michael Harper of Paradise, CA; one daughter, Teresa Nelson of Forest Park, IL; special friends, Rosetta and Rick Osborn of Baxter, KY; and Frank Robinette of Wallace,KY; several nieces and nephews also survive. A mass of Christian burial will be spoken on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10 AM in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Father Anietie Akata will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at 11 AM.
