Michael Wayne Tuemler

August 2, 1961 — July 1, 2020

Michael “Mike” Wayne Tuemler, age 58, of Jonesborough, Tennessee suddenly went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Mike was born in Charleston, West Virginia on August 2, 1961 to Ernest Gene Tuemler and Joyce Hill Tuemler. He spent most of his childhood in West Virginia and Virginia.

Mike graduated in 1980 from Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville, VA. Mike enjoyed various outdoor activities over the years. He detailed golf carts and has built cabins. He had years of sales experience. He was involved in NASCAR events and cooking events for family and friends and at work. He attended various car shows and worked on classic cars with his dad. Mike also enjoyed drawing, as a young boy he sold his drawings to save money for his first motorcycle. He had a passion for motorcycles. He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers, golf carts, and go carts. He went on several day trips with friends and he made a major trip out west to South Dakota.

Mike will be remembered by his parents, Gene and Joyce Tuemler of Johnson City; his wife, Susie M. Tuemler; sisters, Terri (and Robert) Tuemler of Morristown and Susan (and Jerry) Kennedy of Piney Flats; daughters, Megan (and Brandon) Arrowood of Piney Flats and Tiffany (and Todd) Trent of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Justin Thornhill, Skyler Cox, Jace Trent, Chase Arrowood, and Jenna Trent; special nephews, Kevin (and Danielle) Cole, Cory (and Lessily) Cole, Michael (and Teagan) Kennedy; and Taylor Tuemler; and Prissy and his furbabies.

Mike’s family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Piney Flats First Baptist Church. There will be a funeral immediately following, at 5:00 pm, under the direction of Dr. Allen Davis. The committal service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Please meet at Morris-Baker Funeral Home no later than 10:50 am to leave in procession.

Active pallbearers include: Kevin Cole, Cory Cole, Michael Kennedy, Taylor Tuemler, Tim Moore, and Joe Bishop.
