Mildred Velma Busby

June 19, 1919 — March 4, 2006

Mildred Velma Busby, 86, of the Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Elizabethton, died Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Sycamore Shoals hospital. Mildred was a native of Mobile, Alabama, daughter of the late Lewis and Uvella Coward Crabtree. Mrs. Busby had lived in the Johnson City area since the 1980?s and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses, Johnson City. She was a retired beautician. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Norwood Busby, Sr. and two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Vella M. and Barney C. King both of Johnson City; a son John N. Busby, Jr of Maryville; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at her church next weekend, date and times to be determined and she will be interred in the family plot in Mobile, Alabama at a later time.
