Mrs. Milner McNees Collins , 86, Johnson City, Tennessee, died May 13 in Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was the corporate Secretary of the Alabama Bankers Association in Montgomery, Alabama for many years, a member of The Monday Club of Johnson City, the Beta Sigma Phi Social Sorority, the ETSU Women?s Club, and an avid bridge player. She is survived by a son: Lattie F. Collins, Jr. and his wife, Jeter, of Johnson City, Tennessee; a grandson: Ted A. Collins and his wife, Camille, of Lebanon, Tennessee; a great-granddaughter: Hannah Jeter Collins of Mobile, Alabama and her mother, Shelley Lee Collins; and a sister, Margie McNees Maddox of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lattie F. Collins, Sr.; her parents: Joe Lee and Lela Ann McNees; her grandson: Lattie F. Collins III; brothers: Floyd Lee McNees, Edgar Clinton McNees, Clarence Osler McNees, and Allen L. McNees; sisters: Ozie McNees Moore, Pearl McNees Waldon, and Nona McNees Lindsey. A funeral service for Mrs. Collins will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 16, from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Dr. Ronald F. Murray will officiate. Graveside services will be held immediately following the service at Washington County Memory Gardens, Gray, Tennessee. Active pallbearers will be Ambers Wilson, Phil Gass, Bill McCollum, Clint Boswell, Ken Williams, Jimmy Starr, Harry Powell and Scott Robertson. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Monday at the funeral home. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund or to Covenant Presbyterian Church Music Fund.
