Myrtle Riddle

Myrtle Riddle, 77, of 211 King George Lane, Gastonia, North Carolina, died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at her residence following an illness. She was a native of Washington County, TN, daughter of the late Lennie and Bessie Shepard Holtzclaw. Mrs. Riddle had lived in Gastonia since 1975 and she was of the Baptist Faith. Myrtle was the widow of Elmer Clyde Riddle since 1996 and was a retired textile worker for the Pharr Yarn Company. Survivors include: a son, Robert 'Bob' Riddle of Gray; two daughters, Reba Price and Ruby Lucas both of Gastonia, NC; two sisters, Hazel Miller of Johnson City and Mamie Austin of Oak Ridge; five grandchildren, Tammy White, Tip Silvers, Danny Riddle, Donna Bunten and Brittany Lucas; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, under the direction of Rev. Roy Ferguson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at two. A committal service will be conducted in the Washington County Memory Gardens following the funeral service.
