Nancy Lema Hyatt

Mrs. Nancy Lema Lyons Hyatt, 73, 267 Berry Ridge Road, Jonesborough died Tuesday June 16, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Hyatt was a native of Hampton who had lived all her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late William and Blanche Honeycutt Lyons. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben A. Hyatt; one son, Robert Allen Hyatt; three brothers, Joe, Conley and Donley Lyons; one sister, Laura Clark. Mrs. Hyatt was a homemaker and belonged to the Union Baptist Church. Survivors include: three sons, Larry Hyatt of Jonesborough, Jack Hyatt and his wife Margaret of Raleigh, North Carolina and James Hyatt of Jonesborough; two daughters, Brenda 'Dumpy'? Hyatt of Johnson City and Robin Gobble and her husband Bo of Elizabethton; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Hyatt will be conducted at 8 PM Friday June 19, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Michael Lyons and Rev. Dan Foster will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday in the Hawthorne Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Juan Wayner, Ricky Sparks, Wayne Cross, Charlie Cross, Roger Morton and Mike Berryman. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 11:30 AM Saturday to go in procession. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to the service.
