Nellie Mae Fenner Fletcher, 85, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Nellie was a native of Mountain City. She was a daughter of the late Lem and Julie Luttrell Fenner. Nellie was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: six brothers, Gurney, Henry, Fred, Darius, Charlie, and George Fenner; and one sister, Margaret ?Tiny' Cable. Survivors include: one daughter, Dorothy ?Duck' Mottern (Billy), of Johnson City; six sons, James Fenner, of Whiteville, Ricky Fenner (Roxie Cart), of Johnson City, Steve Fenner, of Johnson City, Michael Fletcher, of Johnson City, Joe Fletcher (Pam Harbin), of Johnson City, and Wayne Fletcher (Meg), of Johnson City; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Patsy Fenner, of Johnson City; very special friend, Donald ?Duck' Smith, of Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Nellie Mae Fenner Fletcher will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm Friday, May 29, 2015 in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1 pm Friday in the chapel under the direction of Rev. Harold McNabb. Following the funeral, family and friends will proceed to Highland Cemetery in Elizabethton for the graveside service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Johnson City Medical Center 5400 and NHC HealthCare Station 4.
