Nelson Hobert Brown, Jr.

Nelson Hobert Brown, Jr., 75, 308 E. Grande Ave. Extension, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Brown was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of the late Nelson H. Brown, Sr. and Sarah Guffey Brown and was also preceded in death his wife, Treva Campbell Brown, one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Brown and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was a retired Service Tech for Sears. Mr. Brown was member of East Unaka Christian Church. Survivors include two brothers, Roy Brown, Lewiston, Delaware and Fred Brown, Cleveland, TN; niece, Carol Fields and several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Brown will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 24, 2005 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Dr. Wayne Emery will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his niece, Carol Fields, 314 East Grande Ave.Extension, Johnson City .In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Unaka Avenue Christian Church, 1201 E.
