Nina L. Brown

Nina Lee Sheets Brown, 69, of Johnson City, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Johnson City, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Hazel Cox Sheets. Nina attended First Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Danny Markland and sister Brenda Sheets. She is survived by her son, James Markland and wife Sherry of Johnson City; daughter Tina Corkum and husband Wade of Stanley, NC; five brothers, Gordon, Jerry, Lynn, Gary, and Rick Sheets; five grandchildren, Tracy Thomas, Amber Williams, Debbie Miller, and Danny and Zachary Markland; two great grandchildren, Brandolyn and Aadyn; daughter-in-law Wanda Markland; special cousin Joyce; special friend Brenda Williams; several nieces and nephews; and a special thank you to everyone at Lakebridge for the wonderful care Nina received during her time there. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, 6-8pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 8pm, with Pastor Tony Trott officiating. Burial will be held, Wednesday, 10am, at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
