Okle Mcqueen Greer

Okle McQueen Greer, 76, 2301 Nave Drive, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Greer was a native of Johnson County, TN and had lived in Johnson City since 1950. She was a daughter of the late Willis and Hattie Blevins McQueen and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Cleo Callahan and Walsa Eller and one brother, Raleigh H. McQueen. Mrs. Greer was retired Medical Records Administrator and was employed by the original Johnson City Memorial Hospital for twenty-five years. She was an active member of Central Church of Christ and a graduate of Lees McCray College and had attended East Tennessee State University. Mrs. Greer is survived by her husband, Joe F. Greer, of the home; one brother, Reford McQueen, Shady Valley, TN and one sister, Lois Walker, Shady Valley, TN and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Okle M. McQueen will be conducted at 6:00 PM Tuesday from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Tim Hall, minister, will officiate. Gravesides services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Monte Vista Burial Park. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Greer, Chad Greer, Bill Greer, Donald Greer, Jim Greer, David Walker and Randy McQueen. The family will receive guests from 4:00-6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
