Oma Lucille Trent

Oma Bearfield Trent, 89, 410 Riverview Drive, Johnson City died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 in the Appalachian Christian Village. Mrs. Trent was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Robert B. and Lola Ellen Ford Bearfield. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hawthorne Brethren Church where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Trent is preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Roy Trent; five sisters and seven brothers. Survivors include: her husband of seventy three years, William C. Trent, Sr. of Johnson City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Margie Trent of Johnson City, William C. 'Buck' Trent, Jr. and wife Jean, also of Johnson City; one daughter, Virginia R. Lane of Piney Flats; one sister, Helena Glander of West Manchester, Ohio; another daughter-in-law, Norma Trent of Johnson City; grandchildren , Danny and wife Pam Trent, Jeff Lane, Russell and Deanie Trent, Laura and husband Layton Smith, William 'Bill' and wife Tina Trent, David Ford, Darlene Johnson, Beth Trent and Tommy and wife Angie Trent; seven great grandchildren, Chad Rhea, Zack Trent, Jennifer Fortner, Megan Smith, Preston Trent, Shea Trent and Kristen Trent; two great-great granddaughters, Taylor Lane and Alexandria Fortner; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Oma Bearfield Trent will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, March 17, 2006 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Hollace Ford and Rev. David Tydings will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the funeral chapel at 10:30 AM Saturday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be Grandsons. A Honorary pallbearer will be Charles White. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to the service. The family would like to express their appreciation to Advanta Hospice of Elizabethton and the Staff of the Nursing Wing of Appalachian Christian Village for all their loving kindness and concern in the care of Mrs. Trent.
