Patsy Marie Sanders

Patsy Marie Fitzgerald Sanders, 69 of Gray, passed away peacefully at her residence on December 12, 2007 after a courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease. She was born to Clyde and Lizzy Ford Fitzgerald. She was a lifetime member of Hales Chapel Christian Church. She was a retired mail carrier and County Commissioner. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Martha Fitzgerald and one brother, Guy 'Toby'? Fitzgerald. She is survived by her husband of fifty two years, Joe Sanders, daughters, Jolene Swisher and her husband, Richard, Richmond, VA, Arlene Lockhart and her husband, Harvey, Darlene Stephens; one son, Jacky Sanders and his wife, Teresa and one sister, Mary Lee Barron and her husband, Guy all of Gray; six grandchildren, Derick Letterman and wife, Denise, Kacie Letterman, Chelsea Swisher, Morgan Lockhart, Abby Sanders and Krisa Stephens; several special nieces and nephews. She also had many special friends, Eulene and James Smith, Doris Whitson and Alice Garland along with many more. The family will receive friends at Hales Chapel Christian Church on Friday, December 15, 2007 between 5-8 PM with the funeral following at 8:00 PM. Mr. Jim Saunders and Mr. Ed Haynes will officiate. Burial services will be held a t 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2007 at Hales Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Byers, Jeremy Sanders, Derick Letterman, Todd Anderson, Steve Curtis, John Babel, Charles Muse and James Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Reed, Bill Gray, Harmon Frost, Richard Swisher and Harvey Lockhart. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Hales Chapel Cemetery Fund.
