Paul H. Mills, 69, 160 Carden Drive, Elizabethton died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 In the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Mills was a native of Itawamba County, Miss. And has lived the past twenty six years in Elizabethton. He was a son of the late Henry Mills and Glader Johnson Mills. Mr. Mills was a retired employee of Levi Strass with nineteen years of service. Mr. Mills was a Air Force veteran and member of the Hawthorne Church of the Brethern. He was a Mason and formerly sang and played guitar with the Ford Family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents: Fisher and Nora Johnson and Jessee and Odia Mills. Survivors include :his wife Debbie Mills of the home; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Heather Mills of Johnson City, Sharon and Jim Respress of Valdosta, GA, Darlene and Kevin Adams of Churchill, TN; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Mona Mills of Oxford, MS, Billy and Suzanne Mills of Eden, NC, Rick and Stephanie Headrick of Elizabethton, Brad and Lacey Headrick of Johnson City; One sister, Vera Mae Holcomb of Golden, MS; thirteen grandchildren, Alysson Mills, Michael Paul Mills, Pennington Mills, Rebekah Mills, Rachael Adams, Courtney Mills, Emily McLeod, Wesley Weldon, Drew Weldon, Sissy Weldon, Braden Headrick, Morgan Headrick, and Kinley Headrick. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Paul H. Mills will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, April 22, 2005, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Hollace Ford will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:30 PM to go in procession . Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Post# 3382 and the Tennessee National Guard of Kingsport. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday. Active pallbearers will selected from family and friends.
