Pauline Carden

Pauline 'Bea' Carden, 76, of 208 Green Valley Drive, died Friday, September 16, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Shell Creek, Tennessee, daughter of the late Gus L. and Hassie Morgan Edwards. Mrs. Carden was a homemaker and member of the Central Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Cephas Edwards and a sister, Valda Martin. Survivors include, her husband, James E. Carden of the home; a son, James E. (& Sherry) Carden, Jr.; two daughters, Susan (& Mike) Lyons of Gray and Linda (& Ray) Lamb of Johnson City; five grandchildren, James (& Kara) Carden, III, Randell Lyons, Garrett Lyons, Carden Lamb and Kelsey Lamb; three sisters, Eleanor Edwards, Della Edwards and Grace Edwards all of Johnson City; one great grandson, Ryan E. Carden; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, September 18, 2005 in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Tim Hall. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at three. A committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memory Park, with burial after the service. Active pallbearers will be: Dave Torgerson, Floyd Bailey, John Paul Jones, Tim Hobbs, David Martin and Mike Sheridan. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joe Greer, Ron Walls and Fred Kessinger. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Central Church of Christ Building Fund, 2722 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Alan Forbush and Gail Proctor for their loving and excellent care. .
