Pearl W. Campbell, 79 , 108 Terrace Court , Johnson City died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Campbell was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle Calhoun Whitson. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and Granny. Mrs. Campbell was a former employee of the Johnson City School System and a retired employee of the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by: her first husband, Robert L. Campbell; her second husband, Earl L. Coulter; six brothers, Jackie Whitson, Isaac 'Ike' Whitson, G.D. Whitson, Ralph Whitson, George Whitson, and Billy Whitson; one sister, Ruby Matthews. Survivors include: one daughter, Sherry M. Stevens and husband Jerry of Johnson City; three sons, Robert L. and wife Mary Campbell, Jr. of Limestone, Larry D. and wife Keitha Campbell of Johnson City, Douglas E.' Gene' and wife Patricia Campbell of Jonesborough; four granddaughters and husbands, Christie and Mike Leonard, Lori and Michael Peterson of Johnson City, Lisa and Dwight Parrish of Watauga, Sandra and Duane Peterson of Jonesborough; one grandson and wife, T. Jay and Colleen Harrison of Pittsburg,PA; five great grandchildren, Kristin and Stephen Parrish, Austin and Jacie Leonard and Bradley Peterson. One brother, James Whitson, Jonesborough; two sisters, Ruth Arnett, Johnson City and Lena Matthews of Jonesborough; a special friend, Thelma Smith and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, August 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Chaplain Matthew A. Barber and Pastor Allen Roberts. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends Saturday 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home and at other times at the home of a daughter, 1710 Scenic Drive, Johnson City. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
