Raymond Stanley King

Raymond 'Stanley' King, 57, 1603 Burgie Street, Elizabethton, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at his residence. Mr. King was a Sullivan County native and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Raymond Love King and Helen Hyatt King and was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Mr. King retired from the Johnson City Street Department in 2001. He was a born again Christian of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. King of the home; three daughters, Tammy Bowman and her husband, Hank, Johnson City, Helen Adams and her husband, Johnny, Johnson City and Misty King, Johnson City; one son, Danny King and his wife Misty, Johnson City; step-son, Douglas Yoakley, of the home; one sister, Iva Mae Stout, Johnson City; one brother, Ivan King, Watauga; one step brother, Brownie King; two step sisters, Margaret Moiser and Dorothy Oliver; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. King will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Reverend Michael Lyons will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 12:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
