Richard Hegler

Richard Hegler, 100, Johnson City, died Wednesday, September 02, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center due to complications from kidney failure. Richard was born in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, on January 19, 1915. He is the son of the late Orris and Etta Marie Carey Hegler. Mr. Hegler was the former owner of Hegler Business Machines and Happy Hours Clocks. He was a Mason and an Elk. He loved a good joke and good times with friends at the lake. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by six siblings. Survivors include: his daughter, Jenny Hughes; granddaughter, Johanna Gillispie, and her husband Joe; two great grandchildren, Eliza and Trey; one special friend, Rowena Miller; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
