Robert Bobby Townsend

Robert 'Bobby' Townsend, 65, 110 Wilson Avenue, Johnson City died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Townsend was a native of Carter County and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late James and Edith Bell Hayes Townsend. He was a retired drywall finisher and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Townsend is preceded in death by: his parents; one daughter, Nancey Arnett; one sister, Erlene Malone; five brothers, Frank Hayes, Jack Townsend, Johnny Townsend, Kenneth Townsend, and Carroll Townsend. Survivors include: two sisters, Martha Davis of Elizabethton, and Juanita Neely of Church Hill,TN; two brothers, Don Townsend of Johnson City and James Townsend of Martinsville,VA; one aunt, Willie Trivette of Martinsville,VA; special friends, Violet and Ray Pealer of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service for Robert 'Bobby' Townsend will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday,April 25, 2006 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Joe Alvarabo and Rev. Mike Nixon will officiate. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:50 AM Music for the service will be by J.P. Mathes. Active pallbearers will be family and friends
