Robert Edward Boyd, 52, of 183 Horseshoe Drive, Johnson City, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at his residence. He was a native of Washington County son of the late William J. Boyd and Mrs. Mayme Howell Boyd. Robert was in sales of collectibles. He attended the Buffalo Valley Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Carole H. Boyd of the home; his mother, Mayme Howell Boyd of Johnson City; a brother, William 'Hoppy' Boyd of Sulpher Springs; four sisters all of Johnson City, Sandra Walters, Carolyn Hartsaw, Susan Evans and Betty Bolton; his mother-in-law, Ruthe Haynes of Elizabethton; two nephews, four nieces and seven great nieces and nephews. His favorite pets were his dogs, DoDoll and Dandy. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Pastor David Slayton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and all are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be vendors and friends from the Tri-Cities Flea Market. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Johnson City - Washington County Animal Shelter, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604.
