Robert Stanley 'Bob' Holden, 56, Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at James H. Quillen Veteran?s Affairs Medical Center after a brief illness. Bob was of the Baptist faith and had most recently attended the Church of Christ in Boone, NC. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Bob was a native of Washington County, a son of Jeanette Holden of Johnson City and the late Lemuel (Jack) Holden. He was a veteran of the US Army and had served for six years during the Viet Nam conflict. He was employed at Good Samaritan Ministries. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Gail; two step-sons David Marsters, Stuart, FL, and Paul Marsters, Sacramento, CA; his father-in-law, Lewis Hodgdon, Quincy, MA; two sisters, Charlsie and Ellen, Johnson City; and two brothers, Darrell and Ben, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Dr. Reggie Weems will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM
