Roger Dale Reed

Roger Dale Reed, Sr., 69, of Johnson City died Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Clifford and Bessie Baker Reed. Roger was a retired employee of the Moreflo Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fountain of Life Bible Church. Roger loved sports, playing golf, softball and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Survivors include: his wife of 43 years Sandra J. Carver Reed of the home, four sons; Danny Tipton of Texas, Roger Reed, Jr. Tony Tipton and Scott Reed all of Johnson City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Samantha Reed, Sherry and Chris Boyer all of Johnson City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Mai Lee Reed of Jonesborough and Harvey and Renzie Reed of Johnson City; grandchildren, Cody (wife Sarah) Boyer, Chase (wife Amanda) Boyer, Colin Tipton and Kelly Reed. Memorials may be made to the Johnson City/Washington County Animal Shelter, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604. There will be no public services for Mr. Reed.
