Ronald L. Cretsinger, 58, 655 Cash Hollow Road, Johnson City died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Cretsinger was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, Tennessee and was a son of the late Paul and Buena Hale Cretsinger. Mr. Cretsinger was a former employee with American Limestone in Watauga. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Mr. Cresinger is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Cretsinger. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and James 'Peanut' Clay of Gray; one son, Ronald Cretsinger, II of the home and Ann Cretsinger; three stepchildren, Becky, Scottie and Wendy; two grandchildren, Casey Baker of Johnson City and J.D. Clay of Gray; five step grandchildren; six sisters, Geraldine Metcalf, Dolores Austin, Elva Hodges, Edna Woodward, and Faye Cox, all of Johnson City, Marie Crumley of Jonesborough; one brother, Jim Cretsinger of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews also survive. The prayer service for Ronald L. Cretsinger will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, October 22, 2006 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Mr. Mark Price will officiate. Music will be by Ellen Pollock and David Pollock, soloists. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. The procession will form at Morris-Baker at 10:30 AM Monday to go to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jim Boggs, Darryl Cretsinger, Jeff Larimer, Vince Austin, Kenny Robinson, and Tracy Feathers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Buddy Cretsinger, Danny Turbyfield and all remaining nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Sunday prior to the service.
