Roy Lee Burleson

Roy Lee Burleson, 61, of #3 Belleview Court, died Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an illness. He was a retired electrical technician at Sears for many years. Mr. Burleson was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, son of the late Grant Walter and Venia Kay Harell Burleson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Norma T. Burleson; an infant sister, Patsy; and an infant brother, Lloyd. Survivors include: two daughters, Sherry Saults, Johnson City and Roma Lynn Mashburn Gambrell of Kingsport ; two step-sons, James Nichols, Grovetown, GA and Jay Hopson of Johnson City; two brothers, Ronnie W. Burleson, Plymouth, IN and Walter D. Burleson of Milwaukee, WI; two grandchildren, Jeffery Saults, II of Limestone and Mikyah Gambrell; and two step grandchildren, Jimmy Nichols and Amy Nichols of Grovetown, GA; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, November 6, 2005 in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home at 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Bill Greer and Rev. Paul Hilliard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2005 in the Mauseoleum chapel of the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
