Ruby Street Christian

Ruby Street Christian, of Johnson City, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 27, 2012. She died suddenly at Johnson City Medical Center from a complication after surgery. A native of Mitchell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rosa Hughes Street. Ruby was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church. She retired from the Peerless Restaurant after 50 years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lyons Christian. She is survived by her son, Larry Christian and wife Linda, of Johnson City; sister, Ruth McKinney, of Johnson City. She has many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and will miss her guidance. Services will be held, Monday, July 30, 2012, 2pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
