Russell Dean Satterfield

Russell Dean Satterfield, 49, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, November 1, 2013. He was the son of Jack W. and Patricia A. (Dempsey) Satterfield. He was born December 24, 1963 at Laon, AFB in Laon, France. He is survived by: his father; two daughters, SSgt Julie A. Satterfield USAF and Kimberly M. Satterfield; three grandchildren, Dean, Elizabeth 'Lizzie'?, and Ethan; companion, Cheryl Miller; grandmother, Roxie (Carver) Dempsey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Russell is preceded in death by: his mother, Patricia A. (Dempsey) Satterfield; maternal grandparents, Edmond L. Dempsey and Bertie (Grindstaff) Dempsey; and paternal grandparents, Tony J. and Minnie C. (Snowden) Satterfield. The family of Russell Satterfield will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Westview Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Pastor Mike Stout will officiate. Family and friends will gather at Morris-Baker by 10:30 AM Friday to drive in procession to Monte Vista Burial Park for 11:00 AM graveside services.
