Ruth Florence Hughes

Ruth Florence Kilby Hughes, 96, of Dunedin, Florida, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020, at her home.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, a daughter of the late John and Eva Day Kilby.

Ruth was a lifelong Christian. Family was the most important thing to her, and she loved hers dearly.

She worked in accounting in some shape, form, or fashion for her entire career, eventually retiring from ETSU.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Ted” Hughes in 1999.

Her memory is left to be cherished by her daughter, Robin Godsey and husband Joe, special friend, Marius Henry Del Prado, and many more family and friends.

The family of Ruth Hughes will not be receiving friends due to the current limitations on public gathering. Those who wish to pay respects to Mrs. Hughes may do so privately between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2020, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. We request that no more than 3 people arrive at once.

Funeral Services will be held privately, with a private interment at Monte Vista Memorial Park to follow.
