Sammie Carll Taylor

Sammie Carl Taylor, 58, of Elizabethton, passed away at his residence on November 12, 2012. He was a native of Detroit, MI and a son of the late Carl A. and Marjorie Brockwell Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife; Brenda; two step sons, Brian Fields of Johnson City and Nelson Britt of Piney Flats; two sisters, Vickie Cox and her husband Tom of Kingsport and Diane Taylor of Piney Flats; three brothers, Gregory Taylor and Larry Taylor and his wife Michelle all of Johnson City and Ronnie Taylor; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, November 16, 2012 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pastor Ronald Edwards will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow the service. Military Honors will be accorded at the graveside. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Southside Baptist Church Mission Center, 2103 Wheeler St., Johnson City, TN 37604.
