Sandra C. Moody, 200 Tamassee Park, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at the home of her son in Charlotte, NC, after a long battle with cancer. She was a native of Watauga, TN. She graduated from Elizabethton High School, Class of 1958, and had lived in Johnson City over 30 years. She was an employee of Belk, Johnson City, as a Nautica Representative, where over the years her department had been one of the top in the country. Mrs. Moody was actively involved in many political campaigns through the years. She was a member of Republican Executive Committee, a past member of the Womens Republican Club, and the State of Franklin Republican Club. She was Past-President of the Hilltoppers Sports Club, and a member of the Thursday Evening Tea and Bunco Club for Genteel Southern Ladies. She was Co-Owner of the Elephants Ear Specialty Shop. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, friend , co-woker and will be greatly missed. She was the daughter of the late Miles Campbell. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Warren E. Moody. She is survived by her mother, Myrtle Campbell, of Asbury Place, Johnson City; three sons, Chris Moody and wife Kelli, Johnson City, Steve Moody and wife Kristi, Charlotte, NC and Sean Moody and wife Deann, Atlanta, GA; one sister, Candy Bryant, of Johnson City; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Al Wrenn, sister-in-law Betty Caraway, brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Carol Moody, brother and sister-in-law Gil and Linda Moody. The funeral service for Sandra C. Moody will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, May 4, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Eric Godfrey will officiate. Music will be provided by Mrs. Carolyn Ferguson, Sisters In Praise, and Circle of Friends. The Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral chapel prior to the service. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10 AM in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Active pallbearers will be Bob May, Cecil Morton, Buddy Hoge, Dana Ferguson, Joe Depew, Shane Morton, Peter Johnson, Marcus Puckett, Garnie Byrd and Jerry Greene. Honorary pallbearers will be The Thursday Evening Tea and Bunco Club for Genteel Southern Ladies. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Johnson City, Tn. 37601.
