Sherri Ellen Townsend

Ms. Sherri Ellen Townsend, age 45, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Fulton County, Georgia who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Jeff and Adele Brownlow Townsend. Survivors include three brothers, David Townsend, Brandon Townsend and Zachary Townsend; one sister, Chelsea Townsend; stepmother, Dawn Townsend; one Uncle, Lloyd Brownlow, and one Aunt Martha T. Hauff. Sherri was a member of Cornerstone Church for over 30 years who loved to vibrantly worship God during Praise and Worship. She worked at the Dawn of Hope Workshop as an assembly specialist for over 20 years. Sherri always had a hug for everyone she would meet and loved everyone in the name of Jesus. The funeral service for Ms. Sherri Ellen Townsend will be conducted at 4 PM, Sunday, September 29, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. Barry Burns and Rev. Jason Myers will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Sunday prior to the service.
