Sherry Ann Garnett

Sherry A. Garnett, 45, died Sunday, April 12, 2009. Sherry was a native of Philadelphia, PA and had lived in Gray since 1999. She was a daughter of the late Jake and Delores Butler. She graduated from ETSU in 2007 with an Associate Degree in Engineering. She was a former employee of the American Water Heater Company. She was a member of the Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Joseph A. Garnett, Jr. Survivors include: her husband, Joseph A. Garnett, Sr. of the home; two sons, Scott and Douglas Garnett of the home; one daughter, Janel Garnett of the home; four brothers, Gary Butler of Arizona, Don Butler, Bob Butler and Jake Butler, all of PA; three sisters, Carol Butler of Arizona, Pauline Woody of N.C., and June Butler of Arkansas; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service for Sherry A. Garnett will be conducted at 11 AM Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Dr. Gene Lasley, Pastor will officiate. Everyone will meet at Morris-Baker at 10:30 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family members.
