Shirley Edith Honeycutt

October 11, 1932 — February 18, 2012

Mrs. Shirley Edith Honeycutt, 79, Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Ft. Blackmore, VA, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Myrtle Fleenor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Doss Honeycutt, four sisters, Novella Bowman, Nina Ruth, Opal and Dorothy Fleenor, and one brother, Albert Fleenor. She is survived by her four children, Larry W. Honeycutt and wife Alice, Ginger D. Honeycutt Banks and husband John H. Banks, Roger A. Honeycutt and wife Melissa, and Angela M. Honeycutt Cole and husband George; fifteen grandchildren, Janet Shipley, Kim Dawson, Lisa Honeycutt, Ginny Abraham, John David Banks, Nicholas A. Cole, Misty M. Yarbrough, Joesph Cole, Timothy Cole, Alex Honeycutt, Savannah Honeycutt, and Jacob Honeycutt; nine great grandchildren, Xander Shipley, Logan Fields, Seth Bower, Haley Abraham, Hannah Dawson, Alexis Yarbrough, Avery 'Doss'? Cole, MaKaylee Cole, and Madeline Cole; and two brothers Rev. Theodore Fleenor and Herschel Fleenor. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, from 6-8pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home. Services will follow at 8pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. Burial will be made, Wednesday, 11am, at Monte Vista Memorial Park with procession from Morris Baker at 10:45am. Pallbearers: Timmy Cole, Logan Fields, Nicholas Cole, Joesph Cole, Seth Bower, and Jacob Honeycutt. Honorary Pallbearers: Seth Kantos and Steve Sousong
