Stephen Hinton Adams

Stephen H. Adams, 52, 926 Tester Hollow Road, Piney Flats, died Sunday, May 15, 2005. Mr. Adams was a native of Charlotte, N.C., was a former resident of Atlanta, and had lived in Johnson City since 1990. He was a security guard with Murray Security, Inc. and was a former District Manager with Ryder, Inc. in Gray, TN. He was of the Episcopal faith and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include his parents, William 'Bill' and Kathryn Rogerson Adams, of Johnson City; one sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Ron Buttram, of Johnson City; one niece, Samatha Buttram, one nephew, Nathan Buttram, both of Johnson City; and one uncle, Brewster Rogerson, of Eugene, Oregon. A graveside funeral service for Stephen H. Adams will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, June 3, 2005, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Margaret Zeller will officiate. Interment of the cremains will follow the service in the National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to St. John?s Episcopal Church, 500 North Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:55 AM on Friday for the service.
